Try to become a little more artistic.

Originally, I wanted to learn how to draw pixel art today, but I got frustrated after just a few strokes, so I started surfing the internet instead. I spent a long time surfing on Google Art, experiencing a wave of art.

This painting is Monet's classic "Woman with a Parasol". The person in the painting is Monet's wife, Camille, and next to her is their young son. I feel that this painting is very lively. It uses colors like blue, green, and brown that are very common in nature, giving a very comfortable and peaceful feeling. The composition of his wife and son in the painting forms a very good balance. Although this is an early work of Monet, you can already see the excellent capture of light and shadow. The highlights on the umbrella, the shadows formed by the folds of the clothes and the position of the son, are all distinguished.

Savoring it carefully feels like being in the same grassland, enjoying the same breeze.

Some additional information#

I searched for related information and found that when this painting was created, Camille was already suffering from a terminal illness. Looking at her loved one who was about to leave, the wind seemed to be able to take her away. After Camille's death, I saw that Monet had his stepdaughter pose in the same place and painted two more "Women with Parasols". The sky in those two paintings is not as bright as the original, although the composition and colors are very similar, except that the faces are completely blurred.

Perhaps from these three paintings, we can see Monet's pain. He could only commemorate Camille in this way.

In fact, if you use Google Art to sort the artist's works by time, you can see that Monet liked to paint portraits in his early years, gradually painting fewer and fewer people starting from the 1880s. Even if he painted people, they were just casually depicted and not significant.

And in his later years, there were no people at all, only water lilies and sunsets.
